A local artist specializing in premium original canvas artwork and custom commissions relaunched her gallery inspired by her experiences participating in regional art markets and community events.

Monica Vega is the CEO and featured artist of Gallery 18, originally founded in 2017 specializing in cachet style art and design.

In April, Vega relaunched Gallery 18 at 3507 Canfield Road in Youngstown.

“It is a privilege and honor to operate my art gallery in Youngstown and the surrounding areas,” Vega said. “I carry the mantle of my mother, who became a successful owner and operator of a building maintenance company in Youngstown. The city is a vibrant community for local talent to thrive.”

Since starting Gallery 18 in 2017, Vega has released an e-book, launched studio art markets and collaborated with women retailers and more.

Over her 20-year career as an artist, she’s trained alongside artists and curators in major communities such as New York and Cleveland.
