PLYMC provides financial reports in response to Mahoning County Clerk of Courts
The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County, in accordance with the Mahoning County Clerk of Courts’ request on Thursday, submitted its financial reports that align with the Ohio Revised Code 1713.29, according to a press release.
The statute refers to the “accounts of receipts and disbursements.” After the PLYMC reviewed the request, leadership decided that it appeared to be due to “administrative oversight,” the press release said. It presented the information sought by the Clerk of Courts, which encompassed financial information for fiscal years 2020 through 2025.
Following the matter, the library has asked for assistance with other filing requirements. It will organize an internal administrative review of its procedures, as it’s “committed to transparency, accountability, and compliance” with legal requirements, according to the press release.
“PLYMC has complied with Mr. (Michael) Ciccone’s request for these documents,” said Zak Kozberg, chief stakeholder relations officer. “It took our team less than two business days to comply … Mistakes were made, and PLYMC is owning up and ensuring they don’t happen again.”
Library operations remain unchanged to the public. Updates can be found on its website.
