Fun City Adventure Park attractions reopen in Austintown after safety inspection
In April, Fun City Adventure Park reopened all their attractions after a stop order was lifted on a few of the rides at 6000 Mahoning Ave. in Austintown.
According to records from the Ohio Department of Agriculture Amusement Ride Safety Division, stop orders for Fun City were filed after an inspection on several attractions in early March, including the Stairway to Heaven and Rubik’s Cube Climb.
After the owner of the facility met the inspector’s requirements, all licenses for the rides were issued and the stop operation orders lifted, according to the Ohio Department of Agriculture Amusement Ride Safety division.
This summer, Fun City Adventure Park is open from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Sunday.
There’s a new policy for attendees at the indoor adventure park: guests entering the facility after 6 p.m. who are under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on weekends in order for the team members to maintain a safe, family-friendly environment.
Unaccompanied minors may be refused entry on weekends after 6 p.m.
