It’s starting to heat up in Ohio and cool treats are the perfect way to cool off on a hot, sunny day.

Well, Tasting Table understood the assignment because the blog recently compiled a list of their picks for the best ice cream shop in each state.

“To construct this list, we turned to sites like Facebook, Reddit, and Yelp to ensure that customer reviews were overwhelmingly positive for each shop. We also searched for shops that have previously earned recognition from local and national news agencies, as well as those that have earned awards from organizations like the James Beard Foundation,” said Sierra Winters, with Tasting Table.

So, which ice cream shop is the best in Ohio? Let’s get the scoop:

According to Tasting Table, Toft’s is the best ice cream shop in Ohio.

“Toft’s has been serving widely renowned dairy products since 1900. One Yelper, who said this is easily the best ice cream in Ohio, complimented the sheer number of flavors and the manageable size of its small scoops,” said Winters. “Expect a long line, but practice patience; folks go to great lengths to get this ice cream, a sign of its worth.”

Toft’s offers delicious and unique flavors like blueberry waffle cone, bananas foster, cotton candy and sea salt slam.
