Mahoning County to host community America 250 festivities
Although the Fourth of July is a little over a week away, prepare for celebrations to take over this weekend and fireworks to light up the night sky.
Festivities will start on Friday, June 26, with Celebrate Poland at 5 p.m. at Poland Village Town Hall. The two-day, family-friendly event to honor the community of Poland, Ohio, will consist of bounce houses, food vendors and a Disco Inferno concert. The next day will commence at 10 a.m. and will include arts and crafts and a parade, among other activities.
America’s 250 Firework Extravaganza will follow at 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. Shaker Woods and the City of Columbiana have prepared an evening filled with food trucks, basket raffles, 50-50 drawings and a firework display at Shaker Woods Grounds.
Ending the weekend on Sunday, June 28, is the Austintown Fireworks Celebration at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course. Food trucks, a beer garden and live entertainment start at 3 p.m., with fireworks at 10 p.m.
