Gatsby’s, Station Square Ristorante honored with Wine Spectator’s 2026 Restaurant Awards
Wine Spectator magazine has been a leading authority when it comes to wine, regarding its taste and culture to its ratings. It has recently released its 2026 Restaurant Awards, and two local Ohio restaurants have made the cut.
Gatsby’s at The Grand Resort in Warren and Station Square Ristorante in Youngstown both received the Best of Award of Excellence. The award is the middle level of the three Wine Spectator launched in 1981; the other two honors, in order, are the Award of Excellence and the Grand Award.
The 2026 winners consisted of 4,012 dining destinations, with 1,830 earning the Best of Award of Excellence. Locations identified in the program exemplify outstanding wine service worldwide.
“The restaurant industry is rapidly transforming as diners become more selective about when, how and what they drink,” said Marvin R. Shanken, Wine Spectator’s editor and publisher, in a press release. “As wine drinkers grow more mindful, restaurants are adapting with creative wine programs.”
Gatsby’s
Since 2022, the Best of Award of Excellence has been part of Gatsby’s. Its featured wine list strengths include California, France and Italy, according to Wine Spectator.
The restaurant’s wine inventory of 5,500, with a selection of 950, complements its American-style fine dining experience. Customers can pair rich tastes with signature dishes, like the lobster sausage fettuccine or pure-bred lamb chops.
Station Square Ristorante
Joining the winners of the Best of Award of Excellence just last year, Station Square Ristorante prides itself on its upscale dining atmosphere and wine bar. It’s been family-owned and operated since 2001, with an emphasis on Italian cuisine alongside its California, France and Italy-focused wine selection.
It offers a daily happy hour from 2-5 p.m. with $5 house wine by the glass and 20% off wine bottles. From seafood, Cajun and pasta to salads and steaks, Station Square Ristorante serves a little bit of everything to the Youngstown community.
