Youngstown State University ‘Photo of the Year’ fan vote to begin Thursday

Youngstown State Athletics will host a 2025-26 ‘photo of the year’ fan vote on its Instagram Story beginning on Thursday, July 2.

Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite photo from the 2025-26 academic year. Each of the 19 teams that competed in 2025-26 will have at least one photo featured in the bracket.

24 photos were selected from the thousands taken throughout the 2025-26 season and were placed randomly into a bracket designed after the 24-Team Football Championship Subdivision playoff bracket.

Round 1 will take place on Thursday, featuring 16 photos, and the winning eight photos will advance to Round 2 on Monday, July 6, to compete against eight photos that received first-round byes. Quarterfinals will take place on Wednesday, July 8 followed by semifinals on Friday, July 10.

The championship between the final two photos to name the fan-favorite photo of 2025-26 will occur on Tuesday, July 14. The winning photo will be announced on Wednesday, July 15.
