Downtown Youngstown to host packed weekend of concerts, festivals and entertainment
Downtown Youngstown is set for one of its biggest weekends of the summer as Y-Live returns to Stambaugh Stadium at Youngstown State University, joined by the official Y-Live Pre-Parties on Federal Street, the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts on the YSU campus, the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Summerfest and a full lineup of live music, art, dining and family-friendly activities through Thursday.
Y-Live returns to Stambaugh Stadium for two nights of country music, beginning today at 6:30 p.m. with Jason Aldean and special guest Travis Tritt. The concert series continues Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with Eric Church and special guest Ernest.
Before each concert, visitors are invited to kick off Y-Live weekend at the official Y-Live Pre-Parties on Federal Street. Free entertainment begins at 2 p.m. each day with a live DJ, followed by The Conkle Brothers at 4:30 p.m. today and Hoss & the Juggernauts at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Concertgoers are encouraged to arrive early, visit downtown restaurants and businesses, and experience the energy of Y-Live weekend before heading to Stambaugh Stadium. Free parking will be available at the Covelli Centre.
The Summer Festival of the Arts returns Saturday and Sunday to the YSU campus. The annual festival features artists, live entertainment, food vendors and family activities. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The 42nd annual St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church Summerfest continues through Sunday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, offering authentic Greek cuisine, live music and dancing. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
