Barbara Petak

Oct. 16, 1947 — Aug. 7, 2021 (age 73)

WARREN — Barbara Anne Petak, 73, of Howland Township, entered peacefully into eternal life Saturday (Aug. 7) at 1 p.m. in the emergency room of Trumbull Regional Medical Center after becoming stricken at the Continuing Healthcare and Rehabilitation Centre where she was undergoing rehab following a short illness.

She was born Oct. 16, 1947 in Ravenna, the daughter of John A. and Marilyn N. Ransaw Kimes.

She was a lifelong area resident.

Barb retired from Packard Electric where she worked as a press operator.

It was always known that if Barb was not at home; she was camping; she had a passion for it.

She cared more for her family and friends than she did herself; she would do anything for them, especially all her grandchildren who were her life; she loved them all dearly and unconditionally.

Barb enjoyed watching all her grandchildren in their various sporting and school activities and she was their biggest fan.

Fond memories of Barb will forever be remembered by her former husband and best friend, Frank "T" Petak, Sr. of Warren; her children Frank (fiancé Gladys James) Petak Jr. of Niles, Melanie (fiancée Dennis Wareham) Petak of Austintown, Maribeth Petrilli of Warren and Bradley Petak of Howland; a brother, Bruce (Chris) Kimes of Champion; a sister, Claudia Kimes of Warren and grandchildren Ethan "My Angel" Petak, 16, Jacob "Jakey" Petak, 13, Cameron "CamCam" Petak, 12 and Larissa "Missy" Petak, 9.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service and a caring cremation will take place.
