LaTarsha Denise Golden

WARREN — LaTarsha Denise Golden, 51, entered peacefully into eternal life Thursday (Sept. 30) following complications from COVID-19.
She was born Feb. 14, 1970 in Quitman, Georgia, the daughter of Richard Phillips Sr. and Almarie Golden.
She moved from Atlanta to Ohio 25 years ago.
A graduate of D.M. Therrell High School in Atlanta, LaTarsha graduated from Trumbull Business College with a degree in business education. She tested and received a business certificate and a teacher assistant license.
For the last 25 years, LaTarsha was employed with the Warren City Schools as a paraprofessional (teacher assistant) most recently and up until her passing at Fairhaven School.
She was a member of the International Union of Educators and was past president.
LaTarsha enjoyed sewing, tutoring, adult coloring and solving crossword puzzles and word searches.
She was a collector of snow globes and music boxes.
Faith and the Lord were a big part of LaTarsha's life, and she was an active member of Greater Apostolic Faith Church in Warren.
She is survived by her mother, Almarie Golden of Quitman, Ga; her stepmother, Pearlie Phillips of Warren; a son, Ricardo (Victoria) Golden with whom she made her home in Warren; grandchildren Ethan Golden, Riley Golden, Bryson Gilmore, and Xavier Golden; sisters Amelia Golden of Warren and LaTonya Butler of Savannah, Ga.; and brothers Lorenzo Phillips of Jacksonville, Nikkie Reddick of Tallahassee, Reginald Fields of Lake Park, Ga., Richard Phillips Jr. of Warren, Fernando Phillips of Warren, and Michael Phillips of Warren.
LaTarsha was preceded in death by her father, Richard Phillips, Sr.
Family will receive friends Friday (Oct. 8) from 10 to 11 a.m. at Great Apostolic Faith Church, 3571 Tod Ave NW. A Going Home Service celebrating the wonderful life of LaTarsha will take place at 11 a.m. with District Elder Phillip William Shealey as celebrant. Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren. Staton-Borowski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
