HUBBARD — Rita M. “Oma” Baggott, 82, formerly of Brookfield, gracefully passed into the loving arms of her husband in Heaven on Friday (Oct.16) while a patient of Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, following a period of declining health.
Rita was born on Feb. 1, 1938, in Maria-Steinbach, Germany, a daughter to Norbert and Maria (Hörger) Heutle.

She appreciated every moment that she was granted and absolutely loved being a homemaker for her family.
In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, gardening and reading. She relished spending time with her family and being the life of the party. “Oma” especially adored her grandsons. You would always find her at their various activities.
Survivors include her children, Jeanette M. Leon (Bobby) of Brookfield and James A. Baggott, Jr., of McDonald; grandsons RJ Leon and Joey Baggott; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her beloved husband, James, on April 16, 2018.
