Ray ‘Boom Boom’ Mancini to be inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame
Youngstown native Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini was inducted into the National Boxing Hall of Fame on Monday.
Mancini had a 29-5 career record and held the World Boxing Association Lightweight belt from 1982-1984.
Other inductees this year include Jackie Atkins, Iran Barkley, Kenny Bayless, Kermit Bayless, Jeff Bumpus, Luis Campas, Graciela Casillas, Roberto Duran, Art Frias, Jimmy Lennon Jr., Juan Manuel Marquez, Ray Mercer, Jimmy Montoya, Michael Nunn, Vinny Pazienza, Bridgett Riley, Nancy Rodriguez, Gabriel Ruelas, Rafael Ruelas, Antonio Tarver and Larry Young.
The induction ceremony will be held April 23 in Montebello, California.
