The Youngstown State men’s basketball team is two steps from the school’s first March Madness appearance.

The first comes tonight.

The Penguins will battle Northern Kentucky in the Horizon League semifinal game.

The winner will play Tuesday night for an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.

The game is 7 p.m. at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis.

Who won the previous matchups between Youngstown State and Northern Kentucky?

On Dec. 1, Youngstown State lost 77-73 in overtime at Northern Kentucky. However, the Penguins posted a 74-56 win against NKU at Beeghly Center in the rematch on Feb. 4.

Northern Kentucky has won 13 of the last 17 matchups against Youngstown State.
