Youngstown State says women’s lacrosse coach was terminated March 15
Youngstown State University confirmed Wednesday afternoon that they had terminated women’s lacrosse head coach Kendyl Clarkson on March 15.
Youngstown State assistant director of communication Rebecca Rose said the school doesn’t comment on reasons for the termination of employees but said the decision did not involve Title IX violations.
“Effective immediately, Halle Kotulock will be the acting Head Coach,” Rose said. “The Athletics department is working with the Coach and student-athletes to ensure a smooth transition.”
Who is Halle Kotulock?
Kotulock was a former Walsh University women’s lacrosse standout who graduated from Walsh University in 2021 with an Early Childhood Education degree.
She led Walsh to its first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference Title in 2021 and repeated the feat in 2022.
Kotulock attended Wooster High School, where she was a four-time lacrosse letter winner.
