Youngstown State men fall to Cleveland State, 82-70

The Youngstown State men’s basketball team was eliminated from the 2024 Barbasol Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship after falling to Cleveland State, 82-70, on Thursday evening at Beeghly Center.

The Penguins fall to 22-10 while Cleveland State improves to 20-13 and advances to the semifinals on March 11.

Senior DJ Burns led the Penguins with his 22nd double-double of the year with 17 points and 18 rebounds. It also marked his 14th straight double-double.

Senior Brandon Rush scored 15 points and senior Bryson Langdon added 10 points.

Leading the Vikings was Chase Robinson with 20 points and four 3-pointers. Drew Lowder scored 17 points while Tevin Smith posted 15 points and Tae Williams added 14 points.
