CANTON — Warren JFK punched its ticket to the Division IV regional boys’ basketball final after rolling over the Dalton Bulldogs 75-55 during a regional semifinal Tuesday night at the Canton Memorial Fieldhouse.

The win sends the Eagles into Friday night’s regional championship game against defending Division IV state champion Richmond Heights which won the first half of Tuesday’s regional twin bill after an 87-37 romp over Attica Seneca East.

Friday’s regional title game between JFK (20-6) and the Richmond Heights Spartans (16-9) will tip off at 7 p.m. at the Canton Fieldhouse. The winner advances to next week’s state tournament.

Michael Condoleon leads Warren JFK with 24 points

Senior Michael Condoleon led the Eagles against Dalton with a game-high 24 points, while teammates Nick Ryan and Jaden Rishel added 23 and 14 points, respectively, for the victors.

JFK set the tone early against Dalton, a member of the Wayne County League. The Eagles, led by Ryan, who had 15 points in the first half, jumped out to a 23-14 lead after one quarter and stretched the advantage to 13 points (38-25) at intermission.

Dalton closed to within nine points in the third quarter, but JFK, which had nine three-pointers in the game, answered with a big run to take a 61-40 advantage after three quarters.

The Eagles then closed out the one-sided win in the fourth quarter to secure the 20-point triumph

While JFK advanced to Friday night’s regional championship game, Dalton concluded its campaign with a 16-10 ledger.
