BELOIT — West Branch High School All-Ohioan Sophie Gregory has been selected to play in the 2024 Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association’s North-South All-Star Game.

The North-South Game is slated this spring at a site to be announced.

Gregory, a 6-2 point guard, is a Youngstown State signee and will play basketball for the Penguins and new head coach Melissa Jackson next winter.

West Branch finished with an outstanding 23-3 record this past season and two of its losses were to Olmsted Falls, which won this year’s Division I girls’ basketball state championship and Laurel, which was this year’s Division II state runner-up.

West Branch won the outright Eastern Buckeye Conference title and a Division II sectional championship this past season. The Warriors advanced to the D2 district final before being eliminated by Laurel.

Gregory is a four-year letter-winner in basketball and girls’ soccer and soon to be four-year letter-winner in track at West Branch.
