Ohio State standout guard Jacy Sheldon is expected to be a top 10 first-round pick in Monday night’s WNBA draft.

Sheldon, a multiple year All-American and All-Big Ten selection, is the granddaughter of former West Branch head football coach Jim Laut who led the Warriors to the 1994 Division III state championship. Laut is a member of the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

Sheldon, one of the top scoring guards in the nation, has been predicted by several national publications to be selected as high as No. 5 to No. 10 in the WNBA draft’s first round.

The draft show will start at 7 p.m. Monday night in Brooklyn and will be shown on ESPN. The actual selections will begin at 7:30.
