MIKE BROWN: Poland’s move to Division 5 in football great for the Bulldogs
Several area football teams will change divisions beginning this fall, but one of the most notable is Poland, which has moved down from Division IV to Division V. The OHSAA recently released the new divisions for football, which will be in effect for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, and Poland has dropped from D4 to D5.
The Bulldogs, who are a former state champion in football and a traditional power in the sport, will be one of the stronger teams in the Division V ranks in northeastern Ohio, along with fellow Northeast 8 member South Range.
