Cleveland Guardians announce extension of food & beverage contract at Progressive Field
The Cleveland Guardians MLB team and Delaware North, a global hospitality and entertainment company headquartered in Buffalo, NY, this month announced a multiyear extension of their food and beverage contract at Progressive Field in downtown Cleveland, extending the partnership through the 2036 baseball season.
Throughout the partnership, both the company and the MLB team have been dedicated to enriching the game day experience for Cleveland baseball fans with a wide array of authentic local products and vendors at Progressive Field, according to a news release posted on social media.
Company officials said the commitment to showcasing the best of Cleveland will remain at the forefront of the new agreement.
As part of its concessions program, Delaware North has also partnered with many local nonprofit organizations to volunteer in the ballparkās concession stands as a fundraising opportunity in which a percentage of sales benefits the fundraising cause.
More than $2.5 million is earned each year by local Cleveland groups as part of the program, the report stated.
According to its website, Delaware North, a family-owned company, annually serves more than a half-billion people across three continents in sports venues, airports, national and state parks, restaurants, resorts, hotels and casinos.
The company, which began in 1915 with the three Jacobs brothers (Charlie, Marvin and Lou) operating concessions at theaters, now employs more than 10,000.
