‘Stop the Violence’ prayer walk planned for Sunday
YOUNGSTOWN — In response to increased gun violence, a "Stop the Violence" prayer walk will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The event is being hosted by United Pastors, Clergy and Community leaders of Greater Youngstown Against the Violence.
The group will gather at the Wilson Middle School parking lot, 2725 Gibson St., at 1:30 p.m. The prayer walk will start at the corner of Indianola and South Avenues.

The "Stop the Violence campaign" also includes efforts by city officials and the Youngstown Police Department to provide mental health services and increase security at bars and clubs.
