“Time to turn a new chapter.” Family business hosts final Ohio State apparel sale
A family-owned business announced on Facebook they’re going to scale back one of two retail locations in the Mahoning Valley to focus on their next chapter.
Beloved fan-based store Everything Buckeyes will soon be closing its doors.
In 1998, Debbie Simon opened Party On! in Niles between PetSmart and Gabe’s.
The Party On! team decorates event spaces for birthday parties and weddings and creates custom balloon arches and sculptures.
In 2019, Simon and her brother, Jeff Lyda, expanded to open a second store called Everything Buckeyes in the Eastwood Mall.
Party On! and Everything Buckeyes are both family-owned and operated.
“After 18 years and a changing environment it is time for us to turn a new chapter,” the owners wrote online. “Our website and balloon decor has grown a lot over the last few years and we have decided to focus more on those projects.”
Everything Buckeyes’ website has a 30% discount on all items, including officially-licensed Ohio State University shirts, hats, gifts and coats.
“We will be expanding our offering of Ohio State merchandise at Party On! in the coming months,” the owners said.
