Niles mayor helps cut ribbon on locally-owned restaurant pouring boba

The mayor of Niles, the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and community supporters came out to celebrate a ribbon-cutting for a new boba spot in town.

Tsaocaa Boba Studio has been open at 5855 Youngstown Warren Road in Niles for about six weeks, owned by Joseph Nqyuen.

At the beginning of 2025, Nqyuen opened Ohio’s first Mad For Chicken in Trumbull County.

The menu at Tsaocaa Boba Studio is divided into three core tea categories: Pure Teas, Milk Teas and Fruit Tea & Slush drinks, plus Hong Kong egg waffles and Vietnamese Banh Mi. Tsaocaa hosted a soft opening in September, later celebrating the new venture with a ribbon-cutting in early November alongside the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber.

“Our boba waffle freshly made to order, crispy on the outside and soft inside pairs perfectly with creamy ice cream and chewy pearls. It’s the kind of sweetness that turns a quick stop into a little moment of joy,” owners wrote online. “Add a warm banh mi sandwich or a refreshing milk tea to go, and you’ve got everything you need to make your day a little brighter.”

Tsaocaa Boba Studio is open at 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday in Niles.
