One Hot Cookie sets opening date for new Eastwood Mall location in Niles
In February, the new owner of One Hot Cookie closed up shop in Hermitage due to a lack of foot traffic and business in the area.
Now Heather Huff and the team behind the new One Hot Cookie inside the Eastwood Mall are ready to serve customers in Niles.

“I wanted to bring One Hot Cookie to Eastwood Mall because with all the updates, new stores and additions, I wanted to bring cookies and other desserts to Trumbull County,” she said. “It made sense for me since my daughter goes to Bristol Elementary and I am sponsoring her softball team. The amount of people that are going back into the mall made this a smart move for me.”
One Hot Cookie is located inside the mall where the Orange Julius used to be, across from Claire’s and Ashcroft & Oak.
“The Cafaros have been amazing; the marketing team has been amazing,” Huff said. “For the opening, I’ll have Youngstown Coffee Co. come out and they’ll be sampling their coffee. We’ll have a promotion for the traditional cookies where it’ll be buy one, get one half off. The sampler boxes will be $15 that weekend.”
One Hot Cookie offers a wide variety of gourmet treats including gluten-free options and vegan chocolate chip cookies, plus dirty sodas, coffee and energy drinks.
“The excitement’s there,” Huff said. “Community support for us is a main thing, and I want to try to do as much as I can with other local, small businesses, so I’m about helping other businesses as well.”
Following the grand opening on May 1, they’ll be open seven days a week during regular mall hours of operation.
