WEEKDAY MATTERS | Twilight Thursdays offer evening hours for ‘Memories of Christmas Past’
Here are some of the events happening around the Mahoning Valley this week. For more events, check out our events calendar and sign up here for our Weekend Matters newsletter.
YOUNGSTOWN — With Twilight Thursdays, visitors to the Mahoning Valley Historical Society's "Memories of Christmas Past" exhibit at Arms Family Museum can enjoy the display during evening hours in December.
Twilight Thursdays will run through Dec. 30. Hours are 4 to 7 p.m. each Thursday.
Regular hours at the museum are noon to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays plus Dec. 27. The museum will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
The final day of the 13th "Memories of Christmas Past" exhibit will be Dec. 31 from noon to 7 p.m.
This season's overall theme, "Back to Greystone," will not only reflect the return to an in-person, museum experience for the holiday season but also will portray festive décor and traditions during the 1900s to the 1930s, inspired by how Olive F. A. Arms might have dressed and decorated her home in that era.
