State funding announced for local volunteer fire departments
State Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown) recently announced the awarding of state funds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry for six local volunteer fire departments as part of their Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant program.
“Supporting our local governments is a top priority of mine,” said Rep. McNally. “Making sure that they are being connected with and receiving state funds is paramount to their ability to provide continued local services.”
Local departments who received finding include:
* $4,274.99 for the Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Association Inc.
* $6,188.50 for the Winona Fire Department Inc.
* $4,350 for the Beloit Fire Department
* $1,854.04 for the Coitsville Fire Department
* $4,920 for the Damascus Fire Department Inc.
* $8,554.50 for the Green Township Volunteer Fire Department
