Choffin shows teens how to get more out of high school

To commemorate the conclusion of Career and Technical Education Month, Choffin Career and Technical Center invited Youngstown City School District tenth grade students to visit the center.

While at Choffin, teens connected with two of the center’s five academies that matched their college and/or career interests.

Choffin’s career academies include: Academy of the Arts, Academy of Business & Entrepreneurship, Public Safety Academy, Academy of the Skilled Trades, and the YOUMed Academy.

Scholars got a first-hand look at the career and technical education options offered by touring the center, meeting with instructors, and taking part in hands-on demonstrations with current scholars.
