The city of Youngstown hosted a day-long summit for the administration to connect and provide resources to local small businesses.

The city’s first Business Solutions Summit occurred from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ohev Beth Shalom near Wick Park.

The summit aimed to connect small business owners and operators with departments and corporations in Youngstown.

They hope to provide business owners with resources they may need to learn available and make new partnerships.

Mayor Tito Brown and representatives from the city’s small business administration and the community planning and economic development department spoke.

During the summit, they discussed problems small businesses and residents might encounter, such as litter control, connecting with the health department and public service officials, registering rental properties and more.
