What we learned from our one-on-one conversation with Dr. Amy Acton
Youngstown native and former Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton talked Thursday night with Mahoning Matters Editor Chris Pugh about receiving the Distinguished Service Award from the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown, growing up in the Mahoning Valley, social media, serving Ohio during COVID-19 and her current role as president and chief executive officer of RAPID 5. This nonprofit organization is attempting to improve access to parks in Franklin County, part of the greater Columbus area.
The interview was held at the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown.
