Nearly 1,400 homes remain without power in Mahoning County

FirstEnergy is working to slow power outages from last weekend’s storms that hit the Mahoning Valley.

As of Tuesday afternoon, there are 1,024 homes in Trumbull County, 264 homes in Mahoning County and 68 homes in Columbiana County without power.

There are some resources for families dealing with spring storm damage to their properties, according to the Mahoning County CPA Ralph Meacham.

According to Meacham, residents can apply for a reduction in their property value if the storms damage their property.
