Ohio State Highway Patrol officers in Warren are investigating a motorcycle versus pick-up truck fatal crash that resulted in the death of a man from Salem.

Brandon Brink, 30, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Troopers responded to the crash after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 98 Highland Avenue in Warren Township.

Highland Avenue was closed in the area of the crash but has since reopened.

What Ohio State Highway Patrol officials said about the crash

Brink was traveling southbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when it collided with a pick-up truck that exited a private drive on Highland Avenue.

According to OSP, the motorcycle struck the Dodge Ram 2500 pick-up truck driven by 58-year-old Theodore Ayers from Warren.

The report indicated Ayers was attempting to turn left to head south on Highland Avenue when Brink struck him. Ayers was not injured.

Officials said Brink was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. According to reports, he was not wearing a helmet during the crash.

Warren Township Police Department and the Warren Township Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.

Ohio State Highway Patrol post in Warren is still investigating what caused the crash.
