Some Youngstown streets will close for Federal Frenzy this weekend

Federal Frenzy is a music festival showcasing nationwide artists organized by Youngstown State University’s Penguin Productions for the ninth year.

The music starts at 2 p.m. and bands will perform until 11 p.m. this Saturday.

It’s happening on East Federal Street in The East End District of Youngstown. Festivities are planned for the entire street, from Penguin City Beer to the Youngstown Flea.

The City of Youngstown announced it would be closing East Federal Street from Andrews Avenue to Wilson Avenue for the festival.

The street closure starts Friday before the festival at 9 a.m. for organizers to set the stages.

East Federal Street will be closed until Monday at 7 a.m. for a tear down.
