MIKE BROWN: Great to see two YSU players signed as NFL free agents

It was great to see two Youngstown State football players signed as free agents by National Football League teams.

Former Penguin center Mike McAllister was inked by the Los Angeles Rams.

YSU running back Jaleel McLaughlin, who set the YSU and NCAA career rushing record, was inked in a free-agent deal with the Denver Broncos who have a rich history in regard to running backs.

Both McAllister and McLaughlin were key members of the Penguins’ seven-win season last fall under head coach Doug Phillips, who has done a great job of building his program each year.
