When are splash pads, public pools open for summer in Mahoning Valley?
As temperatures rise, the Mahoning Valley public pools, splash pads and recreation centers are starting to open for the outdoor summer season.
Here are a few in Youngstown, as well as Trumbull and Columbiana counties to add to this year’s summer bucket list.

Austintown Twp Park Splash Pad
Address: 82 Ohltown Road in Austintown
Opening day:Weds May 24
Hours: Open seven days a week noon - 8 p.m.
Wick Recreation Center Water Playground
Address: 1861 McCollum Rd. in Youngstown
Opening day: May 29 (Memorial Day) through end of September
Hours: Open seven days a week, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Wick Park Playground and Sprinklers
Address: 1861 McCollum Ave. in Youngstown
Opening day: June 5
Hours: Open seven days a week, 10 am – 7 pm
John White Park Splash Pad
Address: 2300 Kimmel St. in Youngstown
Opening day: June 5
Hours: Open 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Homestead Park Splash Pad
Address: 829 E. Dewey Ave. in Youngstown
Opening day: June 5
Jewish Community Center’s new Logan Campus
Address: 3245 Logan Way in Youngstown
Opening day: May 27, open house June 11 from noon - 3 p.m.
