Northside Pool hiring for summer lifeguard, pool staff in Youngstown

Have some free time this summer and want a new job? The Northside Pool in Youngstown has a few openings you can apply for.

The pool opens June 7, but job applications are due tomorrow with the City of Youngstown Parks and Recreation department.

Available positions at Northside Pool

Available positions include lifeguard ($15 per hour), pool cashier ($12.00 per hour) and locker room attendant ($10.50 per hour).

Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring safety. All lifeguard applicants need to have a valid Lifeguard Certification and must be 15, turning 16 years old by the end of July, to work at the pool.

Pool cashiers handle admission and greet guests. All applicants must be at least 18 or turning 18 by the end of June.

Locker room attendants maintain cleanliness and organization of the locker room and clothing storage baskets for patrons to leave their belongings while swimming.

Applicants for locker room attendants must be at least 15 years old or turning 15 by the end of June.

Between 30-40 hours a week are available for the job positions, according to the parks department, who said there is also room to be accommodated for less hours down to 20 if needed.

How to apply

All Parks and Recreation positions require passing a Drug Test and Background Check.

Pick up an application at the City of Youngstown Department of Parks and Recreation office from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

They’re located at City Hall, 26 S. Phelps St. in Youngstown.

Completed applications must be signed, dated and mailed back to the same address for Parks and Recreation by May 26.
