Youngstown man facing drug charges in New Castle case

On Wednesday, New Castle Narcotics Unit and the Lawrence County Drug Task Force Special Investigative Unit executed a sealed search warrant inside a residence in the Oak Leaf Gardens Apartment Complex in New Castle, Penn.

Police found four adults and a 10-month-old baby inside the New Castle apartment, including 23-year-old Youngstown resident Vincent Hill.

What drugs did police find at the apartment?

Police recovered different amounts of illegal narcotics, including sandwich bags and plastic bins containing suspected heroin, cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana.

According to the New Castle Police Department, officers confiscated two sandwich bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl from inside a Pampers diaper box and the baby’s crib.

Police also confiscated a 9 mm Smith & Wesson handgun, five Alprazolam tablets, a digital scale, a lottery fold containing more narcotics and a cell phone.

Police officers contacted Children and Youth Services about the safety of the 10-month-old baby.

According to reports, Hill admitted to police the narcotics belonged to him and was taken into custody at Lawrence County Jail.

He’s facing two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one firearms charge for having a gun as a felon.
