The following cases were handled Friday in Judge Sean O’Brien’s Common Pleas Courtroom:

Niles man gets prison for drug charges

Ralph P. Ciletti II, 47, of Niles, received a 12-month concurrent prison sentence after pleading guilty on March 1, 2023, to three felonies – tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine and possession of a fentanyl-related compound.

O’Brien said Ciletti was not amenable to probation because of prior felonies and he was rated a high risk to re-offend in his pre-sentence investigation report.

Ciletti was arrested during a February 24, 2022, traffic stop in Brookfield where officers accused him of throwing something – later identified as substances that tested positive for cocaine/fentanyl mixtures under the vehicle.

California woman gets probation for attempted possession of marijuana

In another case, Kaily White, 28, of Fresno, California, pleaded guilty to an amended indictment charging her with attempted possession of marijuana, a fourth-degree felony. White received three years of basic probation, which will be served in her home state.

The case involved a traffic stop by the Ohio State Highway Patrol on July 24, 2022, in Trumbull County, where the truck White was driving was found to contain a large amount of marijuana.

White, who has no criminal history, apologized to the court for her actions.
