The Youngstown Board of Education to discuss superintendent plans on Monday
The Youngstown City School District appears ready to have a new superintendent as early as Monday night.
The district announced in a press release Friday afternoon that a special meeting will be held to discuss superintendent employment 4:30 p.m. Monday in room 410 of the Choffin Career and Technical Center, 200 E. Wood Street.
The board reportedly said last week that it has agreed on its next superintendent, but didn’t announce who it would be.
Jeremy Batchelor was previously chosen as interim superintendent after Justin Jennings resigned earlier in the month.
Board President Tiffany Patterson told a local reporter that they first wanted to agree on a salary and contract with the person before making it public.
