Jeremy Batchelor chosen as new Youngstown superintendent
The Youngstown City School District has a new superintendent.
Jeremy Batchelor was chosen Monday night during a special Youngstown Board of Education meeting.
Batchelor has served as interim superintendent. following the resignation of Jonathan Jennings, who left for personal reasons.
Before his new role, he served as Youngstown’s Deputy Superintendent of Teaching, Learning and Leadership as well as the district’s chief of staff. He’s also served as a high school principal.
Before Youngstown, Batchelor was the assistant superintendent in Austintown.
