Community Foundation awards $152K in scholarships to Mahoning Valley students
The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley has directly impacted higher education opportunities for 92 students attending different schools in the Youngstown and Warren area.
Casey Krell, director of supporting organizations and donor services, oversees the scholarship program at CFMV.
Krell said they were able to hand out 111 scholarship awards totaling $152,168.
“Scholarship season is always busy, and we greatly appreciate all of the students who put in the time and effort to apply for scholarships under our umbrella, as well as the volunteers who serve on scholarship review committees,” said Krell. “We are happy to play a small part in supporting local students by coordinating the process and connecting them with the resources we have available.”
