Warren man gets 30 months in jail for having a weapon under disability

Donyea Stubbs, 28, of Elm Road NE, Warren, received a 30-month prison term on a conviction for having a weapon under disability. Stubbs, who pleaded guilty to the third-degree felony on April 12, 2023, had six prior felony convictions and five previous prison sentences and was not eligible for probation. Stubbs admitted to the judge of his life pattern of drugs and violence that has followed him since the age of 10. As part of the sentence, Stubbs forfeited a .38 caliber weapon that was found during his arrest by Warren police on Jan. 10, 2023.
Isaiah Croff, 25, of East Kline St., Girard, pleaded guilty to two third-degree felonies of having weapons under disability and escape and was given an 18-month prison sentence as part of a plea deal that was completed Wednesday. Croff was arrested March 9, 2023 after a traffic stop and search by Ohio State Highway Patrol trooprs found a loaded weapon in the vehicle.
Croff had gotten away from authorities during the search and was apprehended after a pursuit on foot, prosecutors said. Croff was prohibited from carrying firearms because he is on parole for aprevious confection stemming from a November 2018 robbery.
Philip M. Manfredi, 30, of Robbins Avenue, Niles pleaded guilty to charges of disseminating material harmful to juveniles. Manfredi will be sentenced after he undergoes a background investigation conducted by probation officers. The charges stem from inappropriate texts and images made to teenagers in Niles.
