Two Masury men die in Brookfield Township crash

The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren Post is investigating a traffic crash that resulted in two fatalities.

How did the crash happen?

According to reports, the crash occurred at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning on Warren Sharon Road east of Yankee Run Road.

Police said a white 2018 Toyota Rav 4, driven by Rajshun Mayberry, 29, of Masury, was traveling east on Warren Sharon Road, while a white 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Thomas Hutchinson, Jr., 26, of Masury, was traveling west on Warren Sharon Road.

Reports indicated the two vehicles collided head-on, which caused both to overturn.

Police said Mayberry died from his injuries at the scene of the crash, while Hutchinson was transported to Sharon Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Reports indicated speed is believed to have been a factor in the crash.

Police, fire, and EMS personnel from Brookfield, Liberty, Hubbard, and Vienna assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
