Opening ceremonies will kick off at 6 tonight to start the 178th Columbiana County Fair and continue the week in Lisbon.

This week, head out to the fairgrounds in Lisbon for all the activities at 225 Lee Ave.

Gates open at 3 p.m. before the opening ceremonies, beginning at 6 p.m. at the grandstand, where the 4-H king and queen will receive their crowns.

General admission on Monday night is $6; after the ceremonies, watch the truck and tractor pull extravaganza at the grandstand.

Full week of festivities at the fair

All the rides will begin operating on Tuesday until Sunday.

Starting Tuesday, a general admission ticket costs $10, including ride access.

All five-year-old and younger kids get in free every day; military service members who come in full uniform will also get in free.

Here are a few highlights and a link to the full fair schedule.

Tuesday Bike Night

Tuesday, it’s Bike Night at the Columbiana County Fair, and every motorcycle rider will get free admission (bike passengers will be asked to pay a general admission fee).

All veterans with military I.D. and senior citizens ages 62 and up will also get in for free.

Bike night begins at 4 p.m., with games and awards administered to riders at 6:30 p.m. during a ceremony at the grandstand.

Then stick around for the draft horse pull at 7:30 p.m.

Extreme bull riding, drag racing, and more this week

Highlights on Wednesday start with kids’ activities at 2 p.m. in the Junior Fair building. Then head out to the grandstand for mutton busting at 6 p.m. and extreme bull riding and barrel racing at 7 p.m.

Then on Thursday, the derby pull starts at 9 a.m. at the grandstand, followed by an ice cream eating contest at 1 p.m. at the midway stage and a draft horse show at 5 p.m. at the horse arena.

The day wraps up with an exciting KOI drag racing exhibition at 7 p.m. at the grandstand.

Then on Friday, don’t miss the “Smoke and Noise” truck and tractor pull at 7 p.m. at the grandstand presented by Full Pull Productions.

Final weekend for fair festivities

To wrap up the fun, head to the fair on Saturday and Sunday for the final two days of events.

Shop at 9 a.m. at the junior fair sale at the Coliseum, then check out the “Power Pull” truck and tractor pull at 7 p.m.

On Sunday, head to the grandstand at 1 p.m. for the combine demolition derby, then again at 6:30 p.m. for the “Derby Dog” demolition derby.
