What’s happening at this weekend’s Glenwood Avenue Festival?

The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation and Glenwood Neighbors want the community to come together this weekend.

The Glenwood Avenue Festival is a free get-together organized by YNDC.

Everyone is welcome to attend this family-friendly event at noon Saturday at the Youngstown Playhouse on Glenwood Avenue.

The festival is happening at 600 Playhouse Lane in Youngstown and it’s free to get in.

Grab a bite from noon until 5 p.m. at one of the food trucks scheduled to be at the festival.

The lineup includes Melina’s Sweet and Savory Treats, Tra’s Gourmet Sandwiches, TortaMo, ST’s, Karter’s Korner and Astia’s Sweet Lemonade.

Check out games for kids, a bounce house, cookie decorating and visit the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County’s mobile library.

Get an up-close look at local first response emergency vehicles like police and fire trucks.

Enjoy music by DJ Jocko and line dancing performed by the Slay Steppas Line Dance Team, part of Mercy Health’s Stepping Out Program.

Learn about community resources available through the Mercy Health Dental Van and other local organizations.

Parking is available at the Youngstown Playhouse as well as in nearby lots.
