New discount on gas prices at GetGo for back-to-school season

Starting Thursday, there’s a new fuel discount for customers at Giant Eagle GetGo signed up for the rewards program.

Regular and diesel fuel grades will be 50 cents off the posted per-gallon price starting Aug. 17 through Aug. 20 for customers using the AdvantagePay or myPerks Pay Direct.

It’s a special back-to-school discount for customers, according to Joel Hirschboeck, senior vice president of fuel at Giant Eagle.

“This is a season of change for our guests. With students going back to college and parents getting back into the school routine, we hope this discount alleviates some of that stress,” said Hirschboeck.

What if you’re not part of AdvantagePay or myPerks?

For anyone not yet signed up, enrollment online in myPerks Pay Direct is free. The discount’s only available to myPerks Pay Direct and AdvantagePay members.

Current AdvantagePay members are encouraged to upgrade to the new myPerks Pay Direct.

“AdvantagePay and myPerks Pay Direct members get up to 30 cents off every single day, and we’re proud to offer special seasonal discounts to make these seasons of life a little bit easier,” said Hirschboeck.
