Youngstown Warren Black Caucus honors local judge
During a dinner organized by the Youngstown Warren Black Caucus, the Honorable Judge Carla Baldwin will be recognized for her hard work in the Youngstown community.
The dinner is scheduled for Sept. 21 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center located at 7440 South Avenue.
Tickets are $50 per person, or a table of 8 for $375.
The event starts with a social hour at 6 p.m. and a dinner program at 7 p.m. featuring a keynote speech from Ohio Supreme Court Justice Melody Stewart.

Learning more about Judge Baldwin
Judge Baldwin, a lifelong resident of Youngstown, made history as the first African-American female elected as a judge in Mahoning County in 2017.
She’s served as Administrative and Presiding Judge of Youngstown Municipal Court since the fall of 2018.
According to the city of Youngstown, she presides over misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic cases, drug court and veterans treatment court.
She’s a member of the Youngstown Warren Black Caucus and the National Association of Presiding Judges and Court Executive Officers. She belongs to local organizations, including Mercy Health Youngstown, Inspiring Minds, Classroom 2 Capitol, and many more.
She’s a district trustee in the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and president-elect of the Mahoning County Bar Association.
She’s been honored with many awards, including Diva of Distinction in 2018 from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Phoenix Award.
