Warren woman gets 2 years in prison after escape from Community Correction Association facility
The following cases were handled Tuesday before Judge Andrew D. Logan in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:
- Harley N. Warner, 25, of Waverly Ave. NE, Warren, pleaded guilty to a third-degree felony of attempted escape and received a 24-month prison sentence. The case involved Warner walking away from the Community Correction Association facility in June 2023 after being paroled from the Ohio Reformatory for Women for a 2019 conviction on two counts of endangering children. The victim in that case was a female child.
- Kyle McElravy, 29, of Scott Street, Newton Falls, received a nine-month prison sentence after pleading guilty last month to two counts of attempted child endangering. According to the criminal complaint, the case against McElravy was initiated after a video was released that recorded an Aug. 14, 2022, incident where a young boy was struck in the head. Deputies were dispatched to the McElravy home after a tip was provided by the Center for Safety and Healing at a Columbus hospital in reference to child abuse at the home. His ex-wife, Amber Rae McElravy, 27, was sentenced in May to 12 months in the Trumbull County jail on four counts of third-degree felony child endangering. The judge told Kyle McElravy that the facts of the case show him also to be culpable for the harm done to the child.
