The Jewish Community Center of Youngstown has partnered with a dance and wellness company based in Youngstown and Cleveland to teach new classes starting in September.

Reverie Movement Collective’s artistic director and founder Makenna Liller teaches “Mind in Motion” classes for anyone over the age of 16 interested in learning new self-care techniques.

Participants can attend “Mind in Motion” from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 10 at the JCC, located at 505 Gypsy Lane in Youngstown.

Liller’s classes are designed to help participants become more self-aware and develop emotional resilience through movement.

The guided activities will include journal prompts, meditations and expressive movement, but will be adaptive to various mobilities and ages.

There’s a $25 fee for JCC members to register for the class, and a $30 fee for non-members.
