‘Arson offender’ sentenced for attempted fire, vandalism inside Weathersfield garage

The following prison sentencing and trial postponements took place on Aug. 30 before Judge Cynthia Rice of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court:

  • Todd A. Gasior, 31, of Elm Drive, Girard, received a 30-month prison sentence after pleading guilty to attempted arson and vandalism charges last month. Gasior was also labeled an arson offender and ordered to pay restitution of $19,461 to the victim in the case. The case involved a fire inside the garage of a home on Elm Drive in Weathersfield in late October 2022.
  • Kenyon S. McGriff, 27, of Warren, received a 24-month prison sentence after pleading guilty In April to a third-degree having weapons while under disability charge. The charge stemmed from an investigation into an Oct. 31, 2021, shooting at the Park Place Tavern at 2185 Parkman Road NW in Warren, where McGriff was one of the gunshot victims. Also Wednesday, McGriff postponed his sentencing in Judge O’Brien’s court on convictions for another similar weapons charge and tampering with evidence. McGriff also faces three drug possession charges in Judge Cynthia Rice’s court. His next pretrial is set for Sept. 6.
