WFMJ morning meteorologist Emily Frazzini, who left the show in April to have a baby, told viewers Friday that she will stay “retired for now” to be a mom.

“So I’m calling it retirement for the time being,” she said in an interview on the station’s website. “I’m going to take time and raise Ace, our little one. He’s five months already. I can’t believe it. And it was a hard decision on whether or not to come back or not. (Mornings are) very hard hours, but it’s the best job I’ve ever had. So it was very hard decision. But I’m excited to take time and Ace is only little for so long. So you never know what’s gonna happen in the future. But for now, I’m going to take the time and raise our little one.”

Frazzini, who has been with the station since 2017, told morning show co-anchor Steve Vesey that she misses her work and praised ownership and management at the station.

“I miss you guys, this is such a special place,” she said. “And this is what I’m going to get choked up. And I just want to say thank you to everyone for the support and allowing me into your homes.”
